Third by Wendy Wasserstein follows the story of Laurie Jameson, a celebrated feminist academic who transformed the culture of the English Department in a small new England college but thirty years later is facing a different set of obstacles and her resources are limited. There is trouble at home with her daughter and aging father and trouble on campus with a friend and with an ambitious student named Woodson Bull, III.
